Winona "Nona" Pearl Bailey Thomas, passed away with her loving husband at her side surrounded by her family's love on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at the Logan Regional Hospital in Logan Utah. She was born on December 15, 1933 in Salt Lake City. Nona married William Que Bailey on June 5 1951. They had five children together. He later preceded her in death. She married Jay Blair Thomas on June 28, 1976 and their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple on September 15, 1995 for time and all eternity.
Nona loved serving, especially in the church callings as a Senior Companion. She loved those she served and they loved her. The struggles of life never dulled her ability to laugh, love, dance through life and give to her family and others. She grew stronger in her love of the gospel. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and countless others whose lives she touched. May she rest in peace and may the Lord watch over her and welcome her home.
She is survived by her husband Jay, her five children William A. (Kay) Bailey, Linda D. Erickson, Michael Q. (Oanna) Bailey, Edward L. Bailey and Julia A. Bailey. She is also survived by 13, grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren, her sister Darlene (Walt) Wintch and a large loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert E. and Thelma Pearl Solo.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 9, 2018 at 12:00 noon in the Providence 2nd Ward LDS Chapel, 355 Canyon Road, in Providence, Utah. A viewing will be held on Friday from 10:00-11:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Lewiston Cemetery. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.webbmortuary.com
