Willa Margret Andrews

Willa Margret Davis Andrews, 87, passed away Sept. 22, 2017 at her daughter’s home in Ogden, Utah.  She was born January 24, 1930 in Downey, Idaho, the daughter of Raymond & Margret Elizabeth Price Davis.  She married Odell Alder Andrews on May 2, 1953 in Preston, Idaho.  Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Utah Temple.

She loved to read books and newspapers.  She worked for over twenty years as a cook with Weston Elementary and West Side High School.  She then served as the sexton of the Dayton Cemetery for twenty years. 

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in all of the auxiliaries.  She served for many years in the Cub Scouts organization.  She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly.  Spending time with family was the most important thing in her life.  There were no strangers in her life- just friends she hadn’t met yet…

She is survived by three sons and a daughter, Thomas (Holly) Andrews of Las Vegas, Nevada; Tracy (Daniel) Pali of Ogden, Utah; Scott (Sherry) Andrews of Ogden, Utah; Blake (Ruth) Andrews of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; by 22 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; by two brothers, Glade “Rusty” (Jane) Davis of Downey, Idaho; Tim (Jeanie) Davis of Logan, Utah; by a sister, Florence Kent of Ogden, Utah; and by a sister-in-law, Vera Davis of Malad, Idaho.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Odell; by her parents, by a brother, Lowell “Chuck” Davis; by a grandson, Joshua Andrews; and by a brother-in-law, Gordon Kent.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Sept. 29, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Dayton Ward Chapel in Dayton, Idaho with Bishop Lance Henderson conducting.  Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the church in Dayton and Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. also at the church.  Interment will be in the Dayton Cemetery.  Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.webbmortuary.com
