Franklin - Virginia C. Corbridge, 95 passed away Friday, December 11, 2009 at the Franklin County Medical Center in Preston, Idaho. She was born June 30, 1914 in Franklin, Idaho to Wallace LeRoy and Almeda Bell Atkinson Chatterton. She married Douglas Corbridge on September 20, 1933 in the Logan Temple.
She was a sweetheart of a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother, sister, neighbor and friend. She was a good cook and had a green thumb. She did beautiful handiwork, but most of all she was loving. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully all of her life.
She is survived by her children Kendall (Maxine) Corbridge, of Smithfield, UT; Peggy (Blair) Greaves, of Preston, ID; Pam (Bob) Zumbrunnen, of Bountiful, UT; Kay Bell, of Salem, OR; Cindy (Shorty) Keller, of Preston, ID; 16 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Douglas, her parents, two brothers Junior and Willis Chatterton, and a sister Emaline McKay.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at 12:00 noon in the Franklin Stake Center with Bishop Randy Sharp conducting. A viewing will be held Tuesday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Franklin Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Webb Funeral Home in Preston.
