"Together Again"
Victor E Lewis of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on Sept. 6, 2013, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born April 18, 1931, in Pittsburg, Kansas, the son of Bennie and Amy Lewis.
He married Charlene Mitchell in 1974 and in 1984 they were Sealed in the St. George Temple.
He served in the US Air Force for 7 years and received 3 medals, the Korea service medal, National Defense and United Nations service metal. He worked in the warehouse fixing machinery and equipment that broke down. Vic loved to work with his hands. He met the love of his life, Charlene, while tending bar. Then he decided to give up bar tending and open up his own lawn mower repair shop.
After retiring he got a computer to play games on and started to do extractions for the LDS Church. He served a Temple, genealogy and storehouse mission, he was a missionary to both the living and the dead.
Vic always had a good joke to tell and would keep you updated on politics. He was a patient man and a light to those around him. He will be missed by his family and many friends in Las Vegas, especially the ladies at the pool where he would work out every morning at 4am.
Vic is survived by two sister in laws, five nieces, three nephews, many great nieces and nephews, and two great-great nieces.
He is preceded in death by his wife Charlene, his mom and dad, one sister and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East, Preston, Idaho. Military rites and interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.
