Verle Quinn Hale

Pasco, Washington - - Verle Q. Hale

Pasco - Verle Quinn Hale passed away on August 28, 2010 in Richland, WA. He was born July 25, 1927 in Pocatello, Idaho and chose to spend his 83 years in service and love to his family. He will be greatly missed for his quiet caring and infectious humor.

After service in the Army in Korea, he went back to school and earned a MS from Utah State University, and a PhD from UCLA. He worked as a research scientist and an environmental professional. During his career he moved to many places including Hanford, CA; Katonah, NY; Fresno, CA; Las Vegas, NV; Grove City, OH; and Pasco, WA. He retired to Covington, WA and recently moved back to Pasco. A deeply religious man, Verle actively looked for ways to be of service to those around him. He didn't care who it was, he just helped.

He is survived by his wife, Verna Swann Hale, and nine children; David (Vicki), Luann, Elaine (Mical Terry), Nolan (Kali), Eloise (David Mathews), Alma (Sheri), James (Lynette), Lorin (Necia), and Carol Rich.
