Venis Johnson Carlson, 88, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2015 at her residence in Boise, Idaho. She was born on November 30, 1926 in Preston, Idaho to Howard Hendry and Doloras Ann Martin Johnson. She married Richard Merriall Carlson on August 26, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Venis is survived by her children Judy (Sid) Anderson, of Eureka, CA; Jennifer Peterson, of Visalia, CA; and Richard M. Carlson Jr. of Driggs, ID; two grandchilren Elizabeth Peterson of Monument CO; and David Anderson of Eureka, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard and her sister Karen J. Schofield.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Preston City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Webb Funeral Home in Preston. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.webbmortuary.com.
