Smithfield - Travis Larry Kidman passed away at home on Friday, October 11th 2013, after a very courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by people who love him and are still in awe of his fight. Travis was born May 2nd, 1975 to Larry and Lorraine Kidman. He grew up happily in Tremonton Utah, where he played every sport he could play. He especially loved soccer and golf, which is where he learned how much he loved to win. He was a Faithful member of the LDS church and served a mission in the Madrid, Spain Mission, and soon after moved to Logan to attend Utah State. He loved the Aggies and was proud to have graduated there. While attending school he worked at ICON Health and Fitness, and continued there until his death. He also met his future wife, Hayley, there and after a good solid year of him asking her out, and her telling him no, she realized she was head over heels in love with him. They married in the Logan Temple for Eternity on September 6th, 2002. They welcomed two beautiful little ladies into their family and Travis spent most of his time loving being completely wrapped around their fingers. He was smitten with being a Daddy and was smothered with love by all 3 of his girls.

Travis loved to play games with his family and friends during which he would make sarcastic remarks, and where he would win... at least 90% of the time. He loved to golf and couldn't wait to share that love with his daughters. He loved to learn, watch anything on ESPN and taking his family to Disneyland and making as many happy memories as they could as a family. He also enjoyed his many callings in the church, including serving in the Bishopric alongside men whom he greatly admired.

Travis was diagnosed with Renal Cell Carcinoma and fought it for 6 years valiantly. He worked full time, never complained, and did it all with a smile on his face that made us all feel like embracing life as much as he did. He taught everyone around him how to handle challenges with grace and courage. His family plans on doing that now, as we all miss him deeply and hope we can fight as hard as he has fought to survive these past few years.

He is survived by his wife Hayley, of Smithfield; his daughters Adyson and Sienna Kidman, his parents Larry and Lorraine Kidman, of Tremonton, UT; his parents-in-law Michael and Linda Johnson, of Smithfield, UT; his siblings Michelle (Ron) Hartfiel, of Garland, UT; Devin Kidman, of Tremonton, UT; Tiffany Kidman, of Tremonton, UT; Brother-in-law Cody (Amy) Johnson, of Smithfield; sister-in-law Heather (Jody) Wolfley, of Mountain Home, ID. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Carl and Leone Cottrell, grandfather Donald Kidman, grandmother Claire Kidman Rex, grandmother Kay Wynne, grandmother Dorcas Oenes, and a grandfather Simon Robert Johnson.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Smithfield South Stake Center, 451 South 250 East in Smithfield, Utah. A viewing will be held on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Stake Center and Wednesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. also at the stake center. Interment will be in the Smithfield Cemetery. The family wants to express their deep gratitude to the Cache Valley Cancer Center, Dr. Ali Ben-Jacob, who Travis considered not only a Doctor, but also a friend, and the nurses who loved him and became like sisters to him. You all made it bearable for him to keep fighting week after week. We also owe thanks to our very large TRAVSTRONG family. There will never be a way to thank each of you personally, but we couldn't have done it without the support we've been shown over the years. And last, to Access Hospice for helping Travis make his transition to Heaven. We are so grateful.
