BRIGHAM CITY, UTAH TRACIE B. COLE
BRIGHAM CITY- Tracie Bodily Cole, 36, passed away peacefully on Oct. 19, 2011, surrounded by her family after a valiant battle with cancer. She was born Jan. 26, 1975, the fourth child of William J. and Marie LaMont Bodily. Her childhood was spent on the family farm in Whitney, Idaho and later in Smithfield, Utah, where she spent many happy years.
She graduated from Sky View High School and years later excelled at Utah State University with a degree in Environmental Engineering. She was honored with the Wendell D. Hintze Achievement Award for her dedication in the pursuit of her degree at Utah State. She was employed at Hill Air Force Base at EMS Assist.
She married Ryan Cole on Dec. 15, 2006 and they celebrated their first anniversary in the Logan Temple on Dec. 15, 2007, where their marriage was solemnized for time and eternity. She was the devoted mother of four children, Tylor (18), Alyssia (14), Christian (12) and Jordan (9). Her greatest joy in life was her family and extended family. She is adored by thirteen nieces and nephews who were all the recipients of her "motherly love". She participated in several drama productions during her high school years at Sky View. She enjoyed vacationing with her family and holidays with extended family. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served diligently in many callings. She will be remembered for her sweet smile, her kindness and her fun loving nature.
She is survived by her husband, Ryan, and four children, all of Brigham City; her parents, Bill and Marie Bodily of Smithfield, Utah; her mother-in-law, Linda Cole of Preston, Idaho; two sisters, Jill (Douglas) Dawson of Dayton, Indiana; Janeen Anderson of Smithfield, Utah; by three brothers, Dean (Beth) Bodily of Hyrum, Utah; Wesley (Jane) Bodily of Whitney, Idaho; Brian (Katie) Bodily of Smithfield, Utah; as well as numerous uncles and aunts. She was preceded in death by her grandparents (Lorin and Fonda Bodily and Seaborn and Orlene LaMont) and her father-in-law, Rodney Cole. Due to his premature birth, she will also claim another son, Rodney William, in the hereafter.
Her wish at passing was to express heartfelt gratitude to family and friends and a loving sister-in-law, Jane, and brother, Wesley, for months of tender care. She wanted to publicly thank her uncle, Wade LaMont and the Preston Elks for the auction that supported her treatment. Also, her Uncle Bruce and Aunt Janean LaMont with the Cache Co. Sheriff's Posse for a wonderful "last Christmas" with her family. And last, Thelma Roley and Marie Carter from Access Home Care to their loving and kind care.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2011, in the Brigham City 13th Ward Building, 25 N. 300 E., Brigham City, Utah. Friends may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home's new facility, 1005 South 800 East, Preston, Idaho and Saturday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the church in Brigham City.
