Cub River - Thurman Lloyd Spatig, 86, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2011 at the Franklin County Medical Center in Preston, Idaho. He was born on January 9, 1925 in Cub River, Idaho to Ernest Alfred and Norma Allred Spatig.
Thurman helped on the family farm in Cub River and loved to tinker with electronics and electrical work. He loved dogs, and always had a dog around. He thoroughly enjoyed talking with friends and especially neighbors. Thurman also enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by a brother Marvin Ray Spatig, of Cub River, Idaho; a sister Barbara Spatig, of Bozeman, MT; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers McKay Spatig, Warren Spatig, and LaGrand Spatig.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Mapleton Ward LDS Chapel with Bishop Stuart Burbank conducting. A viewing will be held Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East, in Preston, and Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Mapleton Cemetery.
