PRESTON, IDAHO TOM EDWARDS
PRESTON- Thomas Len Edwards, 50, passed away peacefully at home on July 10, 2012 from a short bout with cancer. He was cared for lovingly by his wife, Suzanne.
He was born on Aug. 11, 1961, in Twin Falls, Idaho, the third of four children of Frank and Pauletta Kershaw Edwards. From an early age, he developed a love of the outdoors. He participated in FFA and showed sheep. He graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1980.
Shortly after graduation, he moved to Preston, Idaho. He started working for Preston City at the Waste Water Treatment Plant. He was an EMT for Franklin County for many years. He was an avid archer and over the years he helped with the Bear River Archer Club. He loved to hunt and fish. Many of his fondest memories were of spending time in the outdoors with family and friends in Grey's River, Wyoming.
Tom married Suzanne Leishman on June 18, 1999, in Elko, Nevada. They spent their days playing with their kids and grandchildren teaching them about the outdoors and passing down campfire stories. He was known for his big heart and sense of humor. His favorite saying was "want to know what goes good with that?........Biscuits and Gravy!" He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He is probably off exploring new fishing and water holes. He will be greatly missed by those that knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Suzanne of Preston; his parents, Frank (Zandra) Edwards of Twin Falls, Idaho; four daughters and one son, Sandal (Kyle) Camphouse of Logan, Utah; Angie Wiser of Richmond, Utah; Amy (Jason) Jensen of Logan, Utah; Jessie (Chris) Warren of Logan, Utah; Tyrel (Stephanie) Edwards of Logan, Utah; nine grandchildren; four sisters and two brothers, Toni Marie Edwards of Spokane, Wash; John (JoDawn) Edwards of Preston; Mike (Tami) Funke of Twin Falls, Idaho; Suzy (Tony) Collins of Twin Falls, Idaho; Stormy Edwards of Seattle, Wash; and Dusty (Dustin) Olsen of Carey, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his mother, Pauletta K. Edwards and by a brother, Paul (Pete) Edwards.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East, Preston, Idaho. Friends may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home and Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. also at the mortuary.
