Another good cowboy has made his last ride. Thomas "Jerry" Christensen passed away peacefully May 30, 2015.
Jerry was born May 22, 1941 in Rocksprings, Wyoming to Thomas and Mazie Christensen. He grew up in and attended school in Manila, Utah. After graduation he spent a semester at BYU playing basketball. He then served four years in the Air Force.
Jerry was a talented ranch hand and especially enjoyed the time he spent working at Deseret Land and Livestock.
His hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping, ATV riding, raising and trading horses, and spending time with his family.
On July 9, 1994 he married the love of his life, Merrilee Porter. They loved working and making a home together in Cub River.
Due to health concerns he was homebound for the past three years, but always kept high spirits and his sense of humor. He was always willing to share life experiences and stories.
He is survived by his wife, Merrilee; three children, Robert, Tim, and Amanda (from a previous marriage); three brothers, Ronnie, Floyd, and Brent (Sue); two sisters, Nancy and Brenda; a sister-in-law, Debby; three grandchildren that he adored, BayLee, Dakota and Hunter; and his favorite four-pawed companion, Francis.
He was proceded in death by his parents, brother, Redgy, and two brother-in-laws, Bill Anderson Jr., and Allen Caldwell.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at noon at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East, Preston, Idaho. Friends may call Saturday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Webb Funeral Home.
