Shirley Tippets Eck

 

Shirley Tippets Eck passed away December 8, 2024 at the Power County Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility in American Falls, Idaho. 

Shirley was born on April 3, 1933 in Preston, Idaho. She was the daughter of Harvey and Lida Tippets. 

Shirley married Reed Melvin Eck March 21, 1951 at her parents’ home in Preston Idaho. They had five children together. They divorced, but remained good friends in the end.

Shirley resided in Pocatello, Idaho most of her life. She worked in food service at various restaurants until retirement in 1995. 

Shirley enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, working in her flower gardens and going to yard sales.

Shirley is survived by her children Beverly (Craig) Bowers of Bayview, Idaho, Robert D. (Patty), Eck, Declo, Idaho, Charlett (George) Trauger of Veneta, Oregon. Pat (Mike) Sanders of Pocatello, Idaho. 13 grandchildren, 18 great grand-children and 4 great-great grandchildren; she is also survived by her brother Ralph, (Kathy) Tippets. 

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents,  son,  Glen Eck,  brother Demar Tippets, grand-son Dylin Stephens, and great grandson Tryan Kulesza.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on December 11, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 S. 800 E. Preston, Idaho. The burial will follow at the Preston Idaho Cemetery. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at webbmortuary.com
