Shirlee Ann Eliason

Shirlee Ann Sparrow Eliason, 77, passed away with family by her side on Sunday, September 20, 2015 at the Franklin County Transitional Care Center in Preston, Idaho. She was born on June 23, 1938 in Cornish, Utah to Norman Glen and Verla Ellen Cole Sparrow. She married Hal Robinson on June 8, 1956 in Logan, Utah. They had four daughters. Shirlee and Hal later divorced and she married Richard "Dick" Eliason on August 16, 1979 in Elko, Nevada.

She had many hobbies that she enjoyed. She loved gardening and maintaining a beautiful yard. She was a fantastic cook. Shirlee always enjoyed Preston Athletics and loved watching her children and grandchildren play sports. She worked as a retail clerk for many years and always enjoyed visiting with the customers.  Christmas was her favorite time of year and she loved Christmas music. She was active in the LDS Church and served in many positions as a teacher, the secretary in the Sunday School, and as a visiting teacher. She loved going to Preston on Saturdays with her mother and sisters shopping and Gutter Gopping.

Shirlee is survived by her children Julie (Michael) Smith, of Preston; Shelly (Dee) Steadman, of Lago, ID; Shonna (Keith) Cole, of Preston, and Hallie (Jacque) Robinson, of Preston. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, and her siblings Barbara (Terry) Shepard, of Dayton, ID; Eloise (Ray) Rindlisbacher, of Weston, ID; Sheila (Terry) Greaves, of Boonville, IN; and Norm (Yvonne) Sparrow, of Lehi, UT. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Dick.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East, in Preston, Idaho.  A viewing will be held on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, and Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. also at the funeral home.
