- Preston-Sharen R. Hone, 68, of Sacramento CA, a native of Preston, ID, passed away on March 15, 2011. Sharen was born on April 25, 1942 to Martell and Connie Rawlings in Preston, ID. Wife of Larry Hone. Mother of Sheri (Clarence) Gray, Jeff (Becki) Hone, Kimber Hone, Kalvan (Miki) Hone, and Kelton (Zeba) Hone. Sister of Gary Rawlings, Louise Sorensen, Craig Rawlings, Laraine Harris, MarJean Pitcher, RaNea Blair, Keith Rawlings, Karla Gundersen, Kevin Rawlings, and Kirt Rawlings.
- Sharen was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed a life of service in the church as: Relief Society President (both stake and ward), teaching seminary for eight years, and various other callings. Sharen sang, played music, and directed choirs her whole life, including performing in many musical theater productions. Sharen also enjoyed creative writing and was a voracious journal keeper. Her desire and dream was to serve missions for the church with her loving and devoted husband.
- A viewing will be held at Price Funeral Chapel, Citrus Heights, CA Sunday, March 20. An additional viewing will be held Wednesday, March 23 from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m. at the Webb Funeral Home chapel, Preston, ID. Following the viewing the internment will be in the Preston Cemetery with brief services at the Preston South Stake Center at 1:00 p.m.
