Scott B. Kern passed away recently in October 2011 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He was born December 8, 1955 in Palo Alto, California to Earl and Edith Bodily Kern. Scott grew up in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania. He lived for many years in Preston Idaho.

Scott worked for many years in the auto body repair business. He was a talented painter and took pride in his work. Scott was also farrier in Cache Valley and Montana/Idaho. He had a special place in his heart for the Selway Wilderness.

Scott loved fly fishing and riding horses. When he lived in the Preston area he could be found most evenings fishing somewhere along the Cub River.

Scott is survived by his father, Earl; brother, Karl Kern; sisters Sharon (Taylor) and Traci (Cline); and children, Oren and Hanna Kern. He was preceded in death by his mother, Edith Kern.

A memorial service was held November 4, 2011 at the Webb Mortuary, Preston, Idaho. Internment will be in the Fairview Cemetery. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.webbmortuary.com
