Sandra Meyerhoffer Hammon

Sandra M Hammon (Sandy) - Sandy was born May 23, 1938 in Salt Lake City, Utah to James LeRoy and Ethel Crompton Meyerhoffer. She passed away peacefully in her home on April 13, 2023 surrounded by her family.

Sandy married Allen Kesler December 21, 1955.  Together, they had four children. Later they divorced. Sandy then married the love of her life, Boyd V. Hammon on August 5, 1989 in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho.

Sandy grew up in Sugarhouse and attended East High School. She worked for Sugarhouse Van Lines and Zim’s Crafts. She enjoyed the outdoors, traveling, crossword puzzles, and was an avid reader. She loved sewing and crafting to give to others. Her collections included moose, frogs, turtles, and barn kittens. Boyd and Sandy had amazing gardens which they harvested and bottled everything they grew.

Sandy is survived by her husband Boyd, sister Betty (Robert /Deceased), children Becky (Ross), Ross (Eleanor), Vaughn (DeDe), Linda (Pat/Deceased), Betty (Dave), Cindy (Troy), Tamra (Jeff), many nephews, nieces, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. As a term of endearment, she was often called Moosie (if you know, you know).

Sandy is preceded in death by her mother and father, sister Shirley, brother Hal, and son Richard.
