Ruthann Bowman Stowell (76) returned to her heavenly home surrounded by her loving family on December 1, 2024, at Rocky Mountain Care in Logan, Utah after a long battle with Dementia.
She was born on November 9, 1948, in Richmond Utah. She was the fifth of eleven children born to LaVon “Webb” and Evelyn Bowman.
Ruthann grew up in Cub River, Idaho and graduated from Preston High School in 1967. She married her first husband, Lynn Yeates in the LDS temple; and welcomed her first daughter. She later married her second husband, Ralph Glen Stowell on April 24, 1972, in Logan, Utah. They went on to have three more daughters. Ralph passed away on January 6,1981. Ruthann never remarried.
Ruthann was known for her gracious heart and her willingness to help others. She had a wonderful sense of humor. She was always making jokes and funny faces to make her family and friends laugh. She was a hard worker and provided for her four daughters as a widow. She loved to crochet and build puzzles as her hobbies. She would make many items for the family to keep as a remembrance of her in their lives. She was famous for her delicious homemade suckers and other baked goods such as cookies and cinnamon rolls. She always had a treat for her grandchildren and visitors. Her family will always remember her watching her favorite TV shows while making yummy meals for all to enjoy.
During her life she overcame two battles of breast cancer. She had a fight for life that was so fierce, despite all the hardships she faced. She always remained optimistic and hopeful. She will be deeply missed and will hold a very special place in each of our hearts.
Ruthann is survived by her daughters; Tina Lynn Stowell, Jennifer Stowell, Christy Ann Stowell, Dianna (Brooks) Parker, her sisters; Karen, Joyce, Marlene, Vicki, Tamara, and Jan, brothers; Ronald and Brent. Her grandchildren; Jessica, Ashley, Malcom, Bryndee, Kayden, Saige, Kaycie, Brooklynn, Aspen, her great-grandchildren; Raidyn, Addisyn, Zoa, Carsen, Kaizlee, Wrenley. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Marvin LaVon Bowman, and sister RaNae Bowman Loddy.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 9, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East, Preston, ID. Viewings will be held Sunday from 6:00-8:00 PM and again Monday from 9:30-10:30 AM at Webb Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Richmond Utah Cemetery, Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at webbmortuary.com
