Ruth Ann Beutler Jenson Gregory

Ruth Ann Beutler Jenson Gregory was born August 10, 1942 to Ernest and Mary Pearl Beutler. She lived her first twenty or-so years in Dayton, Idaho. She married William A. (Bill) Jenson in June 1964. They lived in Logan UT, Boston MA, and then Bennington ID, until Bill perished from the impact of a tractor roll-over in August of 1981. Ruth Ann lived in Bennington until February of 2001, when she married Morris Gregory. She and Morris lived in Mapleton ID through October 2021.

Ruth Ann had four distinct 20 year phases of her life. They were each marked with a distinct beginning and end, with lots of adventure in between. Her first twenty years she learned to hoe sugar beets, and dislike cats, chickens and washing eggs. She desired to not marry an agriculturist and wished to dwell “in town”. Her second twenty years she learned to be a dairy farmer’s wife, a Bishop’s wife, and a Mother. Her third twenty years she learned to be a dairyman, a dirt farmer, a widow and a single Mother. Her fourth twenty years she learned to be a wife, a Missionary, a second Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother. Since November of 2021, she strived to learn patience by “Thinking Celestial”, “Waiting on the Lord”, and “Enduring to the End”.

Almost every morning and every night for the past 60-some years Ruth Ann knelt in prayer to seek Divine help with her day-to-day activities. Help and helpers came, and they looked a lot like you and I. Many of her prayers were of gratitude and supplication for the blessing, well-being and salvation of those who helped her. She loved the Book of Mormon. “Faith, Hope, and Charity”, was her mantra. “This life is the time…to prepare to meet God”, and “If ye keep My commandments, ye shall prosper in the land”, rang most true to Ruth Ann.

Currently, many of Ruth Ann’s closest loved ones still roam the earth. They include: 7 Beutler siblings, 9 Jenson children, 42 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 8 Gregory children, 37 grandchildren, and 54 great grandchildren. Her closest loved ones preceding her to the other side of the ‘veil’ are her parents, two husbands, one older brother, two Gregory son-in-laws, and three grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank all who have impacted Ruth Ann’s life for good, who are too many to list. We appreciate the end-of-life care professionals who eased her burden during her final days in mortality.
