Preston, Idaho Roger L. AstonPreston - Roger Lee Aston, 53, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2008 in Ogden, Utah at the McKay-Dee Hospital. He was born October 9, 1954 in Twin Falls, Idaho. At the age of three he was adopted by George Ivan and Ruth Archibald Aston. He lived and attended school in Dayton, Idaho where he enjoyed many friends and fun times. Roger served a full time mission for the LDS Church in the Indianapolis, Indiana mission. After returning from his mission he married a Dayton girl, Nancy Coleman. They lived in Preston where they raised their family. He enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with his family. He was active in the Scouting program in the ward. He leaves his children and grandchildren his passion for hard work, seeing a task through, and love of his family. Roger is survived by his children Rachel Lynn (Jeffe) Privett, of Preston; Amanda Ruth (Tony) Winn, of Preston; Crystal Hamblin, of Preston; Ryan Lee Aston, of Logan, UT; his mother Ruth Aston, of Dayton, ID; five grandchildren, and a brother Kent Aston. He was preceded in death by his father George and a sister Suzy Aston. He will be greatly missed.Funeral services will be held Monday, August 11, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Preston North Stake Center, 310 North State, with Bishop Blayne Rounds conducting. Friends may call Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 109 east Oneida, in Preston and Monday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Dayton Cemetery.
