Rodney Blair Choules

Rodney (Rockin Rod) Blair Choules, 78, passed away due to complications of old age.

He was born on November 12, 1945, to Jack and Maxine Choules of Clifton, Idaho. He lived his life in Clifton, attended West Side High school where he played football and baseball. He later met and married Susan Read, while the union did not last, they have one son, Rodney Reed Choules.

 Rodney enjoyed many things, farming, milking cows, moving pipe, fishing, especially at the family property at twin lakes, bowling, shooting hoops, watching baseball and westerns, his favorite was "the Duke", eating Papa Jay's jerky and shrimp always made him happy. He loved to tell jokes and be goofy, with his crazy wave, always made him smile. His greatest joy was introducing and telling others about "his boy" he loved him with all his heart. 

He is preceded in death by his brother Jack Bruce, his nephews Brian and Ricky, his mother Maxine and his father Jack.

He is survived by his son Reed (Amy) Choules Preston, his brother Warren (Sesssilee) Choules Clifton, sister-in-law Joann Choules Ogden, Ut. Nieces; Teresa (Mike) Robinson, Clifton, Kelly (Jared) Elder, Layton, Ut, and Jenny Cain, Taylorsville, Ut, Nephews; Devin (Nicole) Choules, Wellsville, Ut, Landon (Hollie) Choules, Hyrum, Ut, and Jake Choules, Harrisville, Ut. 

Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Clifton Idaho Cemetery.

 Special thanks to the Staff at the Long-Term Care Center at Franklin County Medical Center, Dr. Beckstead for the many years of care, the many staff members who are/were at Heritage House, who loved and cared for him.

 To know Rodney was to love him, throughout his life even with his personal struggles, he would have "given you the shirt off his back" and then with a goofy wave send you on your journey. Your life touched many, thanks for the memories and the laughter. (Goofy wave)
