Franklin - Robert Gene Cartwright Lowe, 87, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Logan Regional Hospital in Logan, Utah. He was born on July 5, 1926 to Robert Doney and Olive Cartwright Lowe. He grew up in Franklin and married Leah Mylroie on December 14, 1956 in the Logan LDS Temple.

Robert loved music. He sang in the ward choir, and he and Leah sang for young married wards and all over the valley. He enjoyed playing the guitar and being outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brothers, sons, and nephews. He always enjoyed spending time with his family as well.

He is survived by his children Julie (Phil) Peterson, of Springville, UT; Curtis (Kathy) Lowe, of Franklin, ID; Randon (Karen) Lowe, of Franklin; Robert David (Shelley) Lowe, of Franklin; and Darin Lowe, also of Franklin; 18 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and by a former daughter-in-law, Sara Lowe of Franklin. He was preceded in death by his wife, Leah, his parents, his brothers and their wives, Harley (Gale) Lowe, Harold (LaReen) Lowe, Dennis (May) Lowe, sisters and their husbands Grace (Floyd) Robinson, June (Ether) Biggs, and a grandson Trevor Peterson.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 13, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Franklin Stake Center, 106 East Main, in Franklin, Idaho with Bishop Roy Yardley conducting. A viewing will be held on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East in Preston and Monday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the stake center in Franklin.
