Salt Lake City - Richard Lorin Bright, 80, passed away April 25, 2010, in Pleasant Grove, Utah. He was born August 27, 1929, in Preston, Idaho, to Lorin and Elna Larsen Bright. He had a special relationship with the Larsen family. He attended Preston schools.
Richard lived with his mother and stepfather, Alfred J. Alder, in Preston, until they both passed away in 1974. He then moved to Utah and received training at the Columbus School in Salt Lake.
He enjoyed working at the Hotel Utah for several years and spent 15 years working at 7-Eleven stores, retiring at age 75. He enjoyed regular attendance at Church and the LDS temple. He loved the beautiful music of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
He is survived by step-sisters Wetona Olson, Renee Henrie, Ardis Alder, and Colleen Magleby. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 12:00 noon at Webb Funeral Home's new location 1005 South 800 East, in Preston, Idaho. A viewing will be held at Webb Funeral Home on Saturday from 10:00 " 11:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Preston City Cemetery.
