Fairview - Raymond Beckstead Nelson, 72, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2011 at the Franklin County Medical Center in Preston, Idaho. He was born on October 28, 1939 in Logan, Utah to Raymond Thompson and Shirley Beckstead Nelson. Raymond married Dee Ann Carlson on December 15, 1961 in Preston, Idaho.
Raymond enjoyed the outdoors. He loved gardening and fishing. He loved his dogs and always had them with him in the truck and at the farm. He liked hunting when he was younger and was a sports enthusiast. He especially loved watching the Chicago Bulls, and recently the Denver Broncos. He also enjoyed snomobiling, and made a lot of trips to Yellowstone to ride.
He is survived by his wife Dee Ann, of Fairview, ID; his children Kristy (Brent) Lass, of Fairview; and Cindee (Darren) Larsen, of Riverdale, ID; nine grandchildren Kahlid Keller, Kerington (Randy) Oplinger, Kacey Keller, Kandyce Keller, Kassidy Keller, Tiffanee Larson, Dustin Larsen, Jessie Lass, and Joshua Lass, and on great grandson Gavin Keller. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 12:00 noon in the Fairview LDS Chapel with Bishop Howard Nelson conducting. A viewing will be held Saturday from 10-11:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Richmond Cemetery. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.webbmortuary.com.
