LOGAN, UTAH RAY PEHRSON
LOGAN- Ray Anton Pehrson, our husband, father, grandfather, and brother passed away peacefully at Sunshine Terrace April 20, 2012. Ray was born May 18, 1931 to F. A. "Tony" Pehrson and Mary Seretha Smith in Logan, Utah. Ray attended Logan City Schools and Utah State University. He was born and raised in the floral business and operated Pehrson Floral from 1981 to the present time. Ray was a master designer.
He had a great love for animals. He loved hunting, fishing, and boating and just being outdoors. Ray loved farming and operating farm equipment. Ray received a mission call to Sweden, which he was unable to fulfill as he was drafted into the Army at the outbreak of the Korean war.
Ray married Shirley Cooper in 1952, and together they had six children. Shirley passed on in 1974. On September 5, 1979, he married Patricia Ann Cabutti Ashcroft, and together they raised Pat's children.
Ray is survived by his wife, Pat; his children Bonnie Rae (Jim) Shaver, Dennis (Jenna) Pehrson, Pamela Pehrson, Julie (Ron) Dalton, and Tamara Pehrson; his step-children Bert Bowen, Juliann Ashcroft, Erik Ashcroft, Kim Ashcroft, Michele (Richard) Price, and Allison (Tom) Hale; his brother John (Evelyn) Pehrson; his sister, Marilyn (Curtis) Broadbent, and his step-sister, Kaye (Ferris) Groll, as well as Ray's 10 grandchildren. Ray was preceded in death by an infant son, David William.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at noon in the Logan City Cemetery with Bishop Blaine Fluckiger conducting. A viewing will be held at the Logan 25th Ward church house at 325 Lauralin Drive, Logan, Utah, Wednesday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.webbmortuary.com
