Raquel Peterson Harris Hansen

Preston, Idaho- Raquel Peterson Harris Hansen, 84, passed away July 15, 2015 at her home in Preston, Idaho.  She was born Sept. 12, 1930, in Preston, Idaho to Charles Joel and Zeffie Fern Bennett Peterson.  She married D. William (Bill) Harris on April 4, 1950 in the Logan LDS Temple.  They enjoyed 45 years of marriage and were blessed with three daughters, Stephanie (Brent) Cooper, Kimberlee (Shawn) Coats and Kristin (Reed) Bailey. 

When Bill passed away in 1995, Raquel found companionship with a dear man, Loyal Hansen.  They married on April 27, 1996.  They spent 16 happy years together traveling and spending time with family until Loyal passed away in January of 2012.

She loved music, singing, reading, movies, good food and being with family.  She found joy in serving in various church callings and in the temple.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and by one sister, Fern (Herb) Poteet.  She was preceded in death by her two husbands, by five siblings and by one granddaughter.  She is also survived by the Hansen kids: Sandra, Cydnee, Lori, Jeff, Blake, Cody and Cheyanne who treated her with kindness.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Preston South Stake Center, 55 E. 1^st S., Preston, Idaho with Bishop Jim Summers conducting.  Friends may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East, Preston, and Tuesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the stake center.  Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery.  Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.webbmortuary.com  She was dedicated to her children and grandchildren.  She will be missed beyond measure.
