Preston - Randy Lee Prater, 58, passed away on August 13, 2010 in Preston, Idaho at the Franklin County Medical Center. He was born on February 27, 1952 in Merced, California to Robert Lee Prater and Billie Faye Clark.
Randy loved Harley Davidson motorcycles. He enjoyed the outdoors and liked hunting, fishing, and even though he was born in California, he loved Idaho. Randy liked to work on cars and stock car racing. He was always known to be a very generous person and was also known by his close friends as "Levi." He was a "Jack of All Trades" and was very handy. His home was open to everyone.
He is survived by his mother Faye Clark, of Merced, CA; his father Robert Lee (Shirley) Prater, of Merced, CA; a son Robert Prater, of Milpitas, CA; sisters Christina Mitchell, of Atwater, CA; and Robbie Lynn Prater of Bakersfield, CA; four grandchildren, a niece Heather Ruddick, of Elk Grove, CA; two Aunts, Ruth Cooper, of Livermoore, CA; and Christel (Durward) Lee, of Merced, CA; and his two best friends Albert Jensen of Dayton, ID; and Vernon Jensen of Preston. He was preceded in death by his sons Ronnie Prater, and Richard Prater, and his girlfriend Catherine Marshall.
