PRESTON, IDAHO RANAE PANTER
PRESTON- Ranae Elma Jensen Panter, 74, passed away surrounded by her children in her home after a long battle with multiple myeloma (cancer). She was the second child born to Mark and Edna Carlson Ostegar Jensen on Nov. 11, 1936, in Mink Creek, Idaho.
She married the love of her life, LaMar Panter, on July 9, 1954 in Soda Springs, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Utah Temple in Nov. of 1989. To this union were born six children: Vicki (Kevin) Heath of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Julie (Kelly) Kidd of Sun City, Arizona; Wendy (David) Warburton of American Fork, Utah; Rob (Kim) Panter of Providence, Utah; Mark (Connie) Panter of Hyrum, Utah; and Kristi (Logan) Sorenson of Downey, Idaho.
She was a devoted mother and adored her twenty-three grandchildren and still had plenty of love left for forty great grandchildren. She was a hairdresser for many years in both Malad and Preston. She was a friend to all. She was always wanting to help her friends. She loved traveling especially to Montana to see her mother and three brothers. She loved arranging flowers and made bouquets for several years for all the Jensen family in Mink Creek. She dearly loved the family of her origin. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she was a teacher many times.
She is survived by all her children, by her mother, Edna Thornock, her three brothers, Roger, Neil and Chet Jensen all of Libby, Montana, and by her sister, Carole Stringham of Aurora, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her father, Mark Jensen and by her husband, LaMar. She will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at Webb Funeral Home's new facility, 1005 South 800 East, Preston, Idaho. Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home and Wednesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. also at the mortuary. Interment will be in the Grace, Idaho Cemetery.
