FRANKLIN, IDAHO RAMONA BATEMAN

FRANKLIN- Ramona Mae Bennett Bateman, 79, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2011, at the Franklin County Medical Center in Preston, Idaho. She was born Dec. 21, 1931, in Kokomo, Indiana, the daughter of Buell Everett and Essie Mae Parker Bennett. She married Forest Bateman on March 5, 1956, in Kokomo, Indiana. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Washington DC Temple.

She was always very clean and organized. She loved serving everyone. She served in the Primary for thirty-five years and as a temple worker. She was ward compassionate service leader which she enjoyed so much. She loved her family and friends dearly. She also loved her cat, Tommy.

She enjoyed taking trips to Jackson Hole and seeing the Bar J Wranglers. She loved four wheeler rides with her family. She liked a good joke and prank and always got the "last laugh". She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by two daughters and two sons, Pam Kessel of Terre Haute, Indiana; Steve Barnard of Burlington, Indiana; Tracey (Kent) Tolman of Hooper, Utah; Scott (Andrea) Bateman of Ogden, Utah; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild; two sisters, Bettie Kellogg of Mt. Vernon, Ohio; Sandy Gamblin of Kokomo, Indiana; and by two brothers, Don Bennett of Kokomo, Indiana and Kenny Bennett of Muncie, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her husband, Forest, and by her parents.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. in the Franklin Idaho Stake Center with Bishop Roy Yardley conducting. Friends may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home's new facility, 1005 South 800 East, Preston, Idaho and Tuesday from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at the stake center. Interment will be in the Montpelier, Idaho Cemetery. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.webbmortuary.com
