Idaho Falls - Phyllis Cole Palmer, 82, passed away Monday, November 21, 2011 in Idaho Falls, Idaho at the Eastern Idaho Medical Center. She was born on June 19, 1929 in Fairview, Idaho to Joseph Truman Cole and Bertha Johanna Nelson Bright. She married Clyde G. Palmer on May 11, 1951 in Franklin, Idaho.
Phyllis was always very active. She enjoyed playing golf and painting. She did a lot of sewing and even made a lot of her own clothes. She did a lot of genealogy and loved reading. She loved to read suspense and mystery novels and loved taking long and scenic drives with Clyde before he passed away. She is also the record holder for the oldest bungee jumper at Lagoon, at the age of 80!
Phyllis is survived by her children Alan Palmer, of Idaho Falls, ID; and Brad (Connie) Palmer, of Idaho Falls; three grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren, and two brothers Lyle (Sherry) Cole, of Bountiful, UT; and Jerry (Patty) Cole, of Albuquerque, NM. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clyde, three sisters Roma, Dean, and Thelma, and a brother Jay.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 28, 2011 at 12:00 noon at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East, in Preston, Idaho. A viewing will be held on Monday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.webbmortuary.com
