Patsy Ann Thompson Haslam, 89, passed away April 21, 2023, at Legacy House in Logan, Utah, following a short battle with cancer. Pat was born in Logan, Utah on November 25, 1933, to Ethan Webb Thompson and Ilah Ardella Cowley. She met the love of her life, James Robert Haslam, on a blind date. They were married on October 24, 1952, in the Logan Utah Temple. They were the parents of five children. Jim passed away on Aug. 29, 1993. She married Wayne Winn in 2008. They were later divorced but remained good friends.
Pat spent most of her life in Richmond, Utah. She worked for Cache County School District in the kitchen at North Cache Middle School for 33 years as a lunch lady, where she made all the homemade rolls, breads, and desserts. She was always thinking of others and making sure their needs were met. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; she loved the gospel and was a great example of service and dedication. Pat was an avid Utah Jazz fan. If you knew mom, you knew not to try and call her during a Jazz game.
Pat is survived by her children, Brent Haslam, Bruce Haslam, Sheryl McCune (Jim), Kenneth Haslam (Le Anne), and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Sharon Whitman. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her brother, LaVar Thompson; by her husband, Jim; by a daughter, Jolyn; and by a grandson, Robert Wayne Haslam. The family would like to thank the staff at Legacy House and the nurses at Tender Care for the love they have shown to mom.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the Richmond Second Ward Chapel, 150 S. 100 E., Richmond, Utah. Viewings will be held Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East, Preston, Idaho, and Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Richmond Cemetery.
