Ogden, Utah - - - - Pamela P. Linton
Ogden - Pamela Lee Procter Linton, 61,former Sandy, Utah and Mink Creek, Idaho resident, passed away November 18, 2010 after a courageous battle with Esophageal Cancer. She was born February 11, 1949 in Salt Lake City, the daughter of Phillip and Margaret Procter. In December 1983, Pamela met the love of her life David Linton. On May 30, 1984 they were sealed in the Jordan River Temple. They have been each other's best friends for the last 27 years.
Pamela graduated from Skyline High School in 1967. In 1968 Pamela was married. From this union she had her 5 children whom she cherished dearly. In 1990 Pamela and David moved to Mink Creek, Idaho. Pamela returned to college where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in English in 1997. Master of Science in Family and Human Development 2001 from Utah State University. She is a licensed Professional Counselor and Marriage and Family Therapist. In 2004 they returned to Utah where Pamela found employment with Weber Human Services. At the time of her illness she worked at the Ogden 12th Street jail as a Mental Heath Counselor. Pamela served in many capacities in the LDS church throughout her life. Pamela touched everyone she met with her charm and wit. She had unconditional love for all. She will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her parents, her loving husband David Linton. Their children Tim (Cindy) Linton, Shellie (Shane) Prows, Jim (Mindi) Linton, Adam Parker, Steve (Jeniffer) Linton, Matt (Shannon) Parker, Rachel (Tom Johnson) Parker, Brian (Shaleigh) Linton, Nathan Parker, Jesse Parker, 34 Grandchildren and 2 Great-Grandchildren, her brothers John (Kirsten) Procter, Marvin (Denise) Procter and many other extended family members. She is preceded in death by her two step children Jeremy and Natalie Linton.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. in the Eccles Park Ward Chapel, 26th and Jackson Ave., Ogden, Utah. Friends may call Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home's new location, 1005 South 800 East, Preston, Idaho and Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the church in Ogden as well as Tuesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in the Mink Creek, Idaho Cemetery at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.webbmortuary.com.
