PRESTON, IDAHO- Norma Ann Parker Burton Carver, 88, passed away on March 14, 2013 at the Franklin County Medical Center in Preston. She was February 27, 1925, in Lanark, Idaho, the daughter of Irwin and Eva Arvilla Smith Parker. She married Lincoln Ransom Burton on Sept. 15, 1943, in the Logan Utah Temple. He preceded her in death on March 16, 1976. She married Thomas O'Dell Carver on February 27, 1987, in Grace, Idaho. He also preceded her in death on June 11, 2005.
She enjoyed camping, riding horses, fishing and hunting. She played the piano, organ, accordion and yodeled all by ear. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints having served in many callings and organizations. She loved reading, letter writing, sketching and her family.
She is survived by three sons and two daughters, Lincoln Ed (Diane) Burton of Acampo, California; Dennis P. (Nancy) Burton of Pleasant Grove, Utah; Norma Diane (Dwight) Hansen of Vacaville, California; Roger P. Burton of Boise, Idaho; and Marsha B. (Kent) Corbett of Grace, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her first and second husbands, by two sisters, Evelyn Stucki and Verla Hymas and by two brothers, Bud Parker and Delbert Parker.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 18, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. in the Preston Third Ward Chapel, 155 N. 2nd W., Preston, Idaho. Friends may call Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East, Preston, and Monday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Grace, Idaho Cemetery.
