Norine Call Bingham

Norine Call Bingham passed away October 16, 2014 in the Franklin County Transitional Care Center in Preston, Idaho.  Norine was born December 1, 1917 in Bountiful, Utah to Mary Wood and Irvin Call.  She was the oldest of 13 children.  She was raised and educated in Layton, Utah.  Norine attended U.S.A.C., now Utah State University and graduated in the Home Economics department with a degree in nutrition.  She taught high school in Richfield, UT and at Davis High School.  It was while teaching at Davis that she met Dean Bingham.  They were married June 1, 1944 in the Logan LDS Temple.

Norine and Dean raised their eight children in Weston, Idaho where Dean established their family farm.  Norine shared her many talents with family and friends.  She served faithfully in the organizations of the Church.  Dean and Norine served two missions, first to the Cook Islands/New Zealand, then to Legaspi, Philippines.  After Dean’s death in 1996, Norine served a mission to Houston, Texas.  Norine and Dean served fourteen years as ordinance workers in the Logan LDS Temple.

She is survived by her sisters Afton Wood, Arlene Egbert, Caryol Linford, and Shirley Byers and her children Paul (Linda) Weston, ID, Janice (Keith) Porter, Preston, ID, Robert (Ilene) Jerome, ID, Nancy (Walt) Linkenhoker, Magna, UT, Alan (Peggy) Visalia, CA, Garth (Debbie) Jerome, ID, ElRay (Roberta) Jerome, ID, Kaye (Dr Marlow) Moser, Victorville, CA; 49 grandchildren and 117 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband Dean Rich Bingham, and a granddaughter, Kathryn Porter Hansen. 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Weston, Idaho LDS Chapel with Bishop Ross Zilles conducting.  A viewing will be held on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East in Preston and Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church in Weston.  Interment will be in the Dayton Cemetery.  Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.webbmortaury.com
