Preston, Idaho - - - N. Jean Bunderson
Preston - Nedra Jean Nielson Bunderson, 88, passed away June 16, 2011 at her daughter's home in Smithfield, Utah. She was born March 13, 1923 in Ovid, Idaho to Peter and Mary (Mae) Caroline Peterson Nielson. She attended schools in Ovid until the 8th grade and then attended and graduated from Fielding High School in Paris, Idaho.
It was her dad's desire that all his children attended college and served and LDS Mission. She granted her father's wishes and accomplished both. She graduated from USU in 1946 and served a mission in the Northern States. After her mission, she married Ross Rich Bunderson in the Logan LDS Temple on December 4, 1951.
She always desired to have a sister while growing up and by having five daughters, it filled this void and their lives were blessed. Ross and Jean raised their daughters on a dairy farm in St. Charles, Idaho and later moved to Preston, Idaho. Ross passed away in September of 1991. Jean was a widow for almost 20 long years. What an awesome reunion she is having with her sweetheart.
She is survived by her five daughters, Sherma (Alan) Talbot, of Herriman, UT; Shauna (Todd) Blauer, of Logan, UT; Coye (Paul) Thatcher, of Richmond, UT; Tammie (Ron) Higgs, Smithfield, UT; and Trudy (Brent) Beckstead, of Trenton, UT; 12 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren with one due in August. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ross, and two brothers.
