Natell Swainston Bodily Hobbs

NATELL SWAINSTON BODILY HOBBS, 94 passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at the Heritage Home in Preston, Idaho.  She was born Dec. 24, 1919 to Nathan Swainston and Waneita Ruby Alder Swainston.   Natell grew up in Preston Idaho.

On March 23, 1940 Natell married Paul Soren Bodily also of Preston.  Work opportunities led them from Preston where they established homes in Grace Idaho, Declo Idaho, Mt Upton, New York and Salt Lake City, Utah making many friends along the way.  They had four children, Edwin Keith Bodily, Ann (Harris), Robert Lynn Bodily and  Rebecca (Steven)  King After  Paul’s Death in 1964 Natell settled in Sunset, Utah where she worked and raised her youngest daughter.  She was blessed with 10 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren with 2 more on the way.

In 1972 Natell married Willis (Bill) Hobbs.  They lived in Soda Springs , then moved  to Pocatello  where they  stayed until Bills death in 1988 .   Natell remained  in Pocatello until she moved back to Preston in  2013 where she resided until her death.  Natell was a fabulous homemaker, seamstress and cook.  She taught 4H and was active in the Veterans Auxiliary.  She was a loving Mother and Grandmother.  She enjoyed her many grandchildren, family and friends.

Natell is survived by two daughters Ann Harris of Palm Springs, CA; and Rebecca (Steven) King of Sunset, Utah.   She is also survived by one sister Alden Sperry of Preston,  10 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.   Natell was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Idana Greaves, two brothers Rhyl and  Alfred Theo Swainston all from Preston.   Natell was also preceded in death by husbands Paul Bodily and Willis Hobbs, two sons Edwin Keith and Robert Lynn Bodily, a grandson, a granddaughter, a daughter in-law and a stepdaughter. 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at 12:00 noon at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East in Preston, Idaho.  A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 10:00-11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.  Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery.  Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.webbmortuary.com
