Dayton, Idaho - - - - Myrna P. Haslam
Dayton - Myrna Petersen Haslam, 91, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at the Heritage Home in Preston, Idaho. She was born July 26, 1917 in Hyrum, Utah to Alfred Julius and Hazel Louisa Allen Petersen. She married David H. Haslam on November 22, 1938 in the Logan Utah Temple.
Myrna was an active member of the LDS Church and served in various callings during her life and she served a mission to England with her husband David. She loved quilting and made numerous quilts for her grandchildren. She loved spending time with her family and grandkids and they were very special to her.
She is survived by her children Lloyd D. (Deloris) Haslam, of Crowheart, WY; Marlene M. (Reed) Fellows, of Preston, ID; Robert J. (Shirley) Haslam, of Tooele, UT; Carl D. (Kathleen) Haslam, of Thatcher, ID; 13 grandchildren, many great and great-great grandchildren, a brother Wendell Petersen, of Sandy, UT; and a sister Ramona (Tom) Demery, of Orem, UT. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers Weston and Clifford, and a sister Edith Burbank.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 10, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the Dayton Ward LDS Chapel with Bishop Lauritz Smith of the Clifton 1st Ward conducting. Friends may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 109 East Oneida, Preston, and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m at the church in Dayton. Interment will be in the Dayton Cemetery.
