FRANKLIN, IDAHO - - MONDELL NASH
FRANKLIN- Mondell Franklin Nash, 76, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2009, at the Logan Regional Hospital in Logan, Utah. He was born March 13, 1933, in Franklin, Idaho, the son of Victor Paul and Wanda Bingham Nash. He married Marilyn Joan Follett on May 28, 1951, in Preston, Idaho. They enjoyed 58 years of loving marriage.
Mondell was a loving and caring husband and Dad. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) for 57 years. He was an avid muzzleloader shooter and participated in national matches. In 2001, he set a national record in the cross-stick event. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed his family, friends, camping, hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Nash, of Franklin; three sons, Tim (Pat) Nash of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; Terry Nash of Clarkston, Washington; Thom (Judy) Nash of Richland, Washington; eight grandchildren, Terra (Doug) Berning, Tyler (Erika) Nash, Tim (Michele) Nash, Shaun Nash, Chelsey (Aaron) Hibbard, Christin (Paul) Aubin, Kayla Mitte, and Brooke (Dan) Allen; five great-grandchildren, Michelle Berning, Sarah Berning, Faith Nash, Dorian Hibbard, and Jeysca Allen; one brother, Victor (Arlene) Nash of Preston, Idaho; and three sisters, Claudette (Norm) Swainston of Grace, Idaho; LaFaye Lowe of Meridian, Idaho; and Paula (Farrell) Austin of Shelley, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother-in-law, Don Lowe.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. in the Franklin Stake Center with Bishop Lynn Womack conducting. Friends may call Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the stake center. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Muzzleloader Rifle Association, at www.nmlra.org.
