Preston - I have fought the good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith, endured to the end, and completed the work I was given to do. Mima Irene Simmonds Hyde at age 90, has returned to her Heavenly Father and Savior whom she loves so very much! She was "reborn" on February 19, 2011 in the arms of loved ones, with the familiar primary song "I Often Go Walking in Meadows of Clover... " playing softly at her bedside, and greeted in Heaven by her waiting family, parents, grandparents, sister, husband Monte, son Michael, granddaughter Natalie Hyde, and grandson Dustin Garner. She is survived by her children Boyd, of Kingston, WA; Reggie (Marcia) Hyde, of Park City, UT; Doug Hyde, of Preston; Bob Hyde, of Preston; LaRene (Junior) Chambers, of Trenton, UT; Cary (Nancy) Hyde, of Greeley, CO; Dawn (Kris) Stoddard, of Springville, UT; David (Ann) Hyde of Hooper, UT; an amazing posterity of 28 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren. Mom was born December 30, 1920 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Guy Leslie and Mildred Lyday Simmonds. She was raised in the heart of the church. mom attended and graduated from Granit high School. Mom med dad on a blind date in Salt Lake City and then on September 24, 1941, in Fresno California, where dad was stationed in the Army, she married LaMonte B. Hyde. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Logan Temple.
Mom had a very positive outlook on life, and worked hard for what she obtained. She was very dedicated and committed to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and had a great love for her Savior. She had a love for music and reading uplifting literature, which she passed down to her children and grandchildren. Her character showed great honesty, integrity, diligence and a humble heart. She proclaimed her testimony of her Savior through her loving and kind example every day.
Mom Grandma, we love you for all that you have done for us and for the wonderful example of righteous living you have been. we look forward to reuniting with you, dad, Mike, and other family members who have passed on before us.
