Michael Dee Lowe

Beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather, Michael Dee Lowe, 79, of Cub River, Idaho, returned to his heavenly home on December 5, 2024 in Logan, Utah. He was born on October 31, 1945 in Franklin, Idaho, to Cyril K. and Fern Porter Lowe.

Mike was a true patriot and loved his country very much. His greatest desire, next to the health and welfare of his family was to preserve the freedoms of our great nation. His main mission in preserving freedom was for his kids and grandkids so they could enjoy the life he enjoyed. He was a very talented contractor and craftsman. Mike could fix or build anything! If he didn’t know how, he would research and learn the skill. He loved learning new things. He left a legacy of hard workers and deep thinkers because of his great example. He spent many hours teaching his grandsons many of his electrical and welding skills.

Mike married the love of his life Kathleen Johnson on September 17, 1964, later sealed in the Odgen Utah temple. His family was his greatest joy and accomplishment. He and Kathy have four children; Tamara Jean (Newell) Hales, Salina, Utah; Jeffrey Michael (Nikki) Lowe, Wellsville, Utah; Jennifer Edna (Jared) Ray, Cub River, Utah; Angelina Marie (Devin) Migliori, Franklin, Idaho. They have 21 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Mike was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where he served as Executive Secretary, Ward Mission Leader, Sunday School President, as well as working in the Logan Temple for 10 years. He and Kathy also served as Service Missionaries at the Logan LDS Employment Center.

Mike was a gifted Master Electrician and Contractor. He built many of the homes his family have lived in from Soda Springs, Idaho; Brigham City, Utah; Lewiston, Utah; and Cub River, Utah. He worked many years at Thiokol after many years of building homes. He cherished the working at Thiokol because of the lifelong friendships he made. He was currently working as an Electrical Contractor including the day he passed away.

In addition to his wife and children, Mike is survived by a brother, Ron (Karen) Lowe, Franklin, Idaho and sisters, Shirley (Jack) Lund, Albion, Idaho; and Carol (Jay, deceased) Curtis, Smithfield, Utah.

Mike is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Jerry Lowe and James Lowe.
