Michael Spencer Cranney

 

Michael Spencer Cranney, 49, passed away May 24, 2023, with his parents at his side.  Mike was born January 26, 1974 in Logan, Utah, the son of Spencer A. and Anita Stettler Cranney.

 

Michael was born with Cerebral Palsy and at the age of 2 he began his schooling at the Utah State University Exceptional Child Center.  He then attended the Cache County schools and graduated from Sky View High School, Class of 1992.

 

Living most of his life in North Logan he moved in 2007 with his parents to North Las Vegas, NV.  In 2019 he moved to South Jordan, UT.  In 2021 he suffered a stroke and as a result he has lived in the Rocky Mountain Care – Hunter Hollow facility in West Valley City, UT where he loved and appreciated the staff and residents.

 

Michael loved his family.  He is survived his parents of South Jordan, UT, a brother, Bryan (Michelle) Cranney, Covington, WA,  four sisters, Kristen (David) Johnson, South Jordan, UT,  Rachelle Cranney, Logan, UT, Julie (Jared) Mangum, Pocatello, ID, Laurie (Brennan) Ray, Chandler, AZ.  Also surviving are beloved nieces and nephews; Adam (Ashtin) Ray, Kaylie Ray, Jesse Johnson, Jacob Mangum, Malcolm Johnson, Carson Cranney, Ethan Cranney, Lillie Johnson, Lucie Mangum, Logan Ray, Holly Mangum, William Mangum, Taylor Ray and Kate Mangum.

 

A visitation will be held Friday, June 2, 2023 from 10 to 11:30 am in the Green Canyon Stake Center, 1850 North 400 East in North Logan.  Graveside services will follow at 12:00 noon in the Logan City Cemetery located at 1000 North 1200 East in Logan.
