Max Keller Gundersen

Max Keller Gundersen, 85, passed away peacefully to return to his Heavenly Father on March 20, 2025. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on April 27, 1939, to Arthur Lenord Gundersen and Vivian Keller Gundersen.

Max attended Olympus High School where he excelled on the football team as well as baseball. He met his sweetheart Georgia Anne Fisher in seminary while asking her for a piece of gum. They fell in love and were married on May 15, 1957.

After their marriage, Max served his country in the US Coast Guard. They moved their family to Idaho to get out of the city in 1974. They bought a 30 acre farm and started their own business. Max and Georgia started their first business in upholstery. They then added manufacturing seat covers and evolved to producing western products. Max had an enthusiasm for motorcycles and turned that into a business selling bikers leathers and catering Dutch oven and BBQ for biker groups that would frequently stop by on weekends.

Max loved anything outdoors, hunting, fishing, boating and riding horses.

He is survived by his wife, his 5 children, Roger Gundersen (Lana Jacobson), Jeff Gundersen (Brenda McDermott), Richard Gundersen, Sheri Hill (Jeff Hill) and Steven Gundersen (Mishell Staten). He has been blessed with 18 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren.

Max was loved by many people and will be dearly missed.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 31, 2025, at 12 pm in the Clifton 1st Ward Chapel, 170 W. 100 N. Clifton, Idaho. Viewings will be held Sunday from 6-8 pm at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 S. 800 E. Preston and again prior to the service from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the church.
