Salt Lake City - Mark Earl Buttars, 52, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 13, 2013 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born on April 23, 1961 in Preston, Idaho to Keith and Georgia Lannan Buttars.

Mark served an honorable LDS mission to Washington DC after which he served in the National Guard. He was an avid sports fan and loved basketball. He played on two state championship teams from West Side High School. He loved his family and will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his three daughters Aubri (Kyle) Bowen, of West Jordan, UT; Katelyn Buttars, and Allison Buttars also of West Jordan, UT; two grandchildren Reese and Hailey Bowen, his mother Georgia Buttars, of Weston, ID; and his siblings Kurtis (Janeil) Buttars, of Weston; Vicki (Glen) Stevenson, of Weston; Steven (Lynette) Buttars, of Weston, and Ryan (Janis) Buttars, of Clifton, ID. He was preceded in death by his father Keith Buttars.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 20, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East in Preston, Idaho with Bishop Randy Austin conducting. A viewing will be held on Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Weston Cemetery.
