St George, Utah - - - Marjory H. Handley
St George - Marjory Forsgren Hart Handley, 89, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2011 in Bountiful, Utah. She was born on December 17, 1921 in Riverdale, Idaho to Eli Smith and Leona Medora Farnsworth Forsgren. She married Halo Mathias Hart on September 23, 1941. They were later divorced and she later met W. Harold Handley. They were married December 17, 1992 in St George, Utah.
She was employed by the US Department of Agriculture where she was a Federal Women's Program Manager. After retirement in 1988, she moved to St George, Utah. She was active in the LDS Church. Marjory served a two year mission to Arlington, Virginia. She also spent many years as the ward chorister and many other music callings in many wards. She was especially proud and grateful for the opportunity she had to participate in the choir that sang at the dedication of the Washington, DC Temple.
Marjory is survived by her children, Dana (Ted) Roper, of Salt Lake City, UT; Trissa (Doug) Fonnesbeck, of Farmington, UT; Zenda Rawlings, of Bountiful, UT; a daughter-in-law Joyce Hart, of Preston, ID; and a son-in-law Garland Miller, of Ogden, UT; 24 grandchildren, and 45 great grandchildren, and three sisters Norma Wadsworth, of Englewood, CO; Luella (Milo) Jepsen, of Las Vegas, NV; and Nadine Jensen, of Glendale, ID. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold, a son Eric Hart, a daughter, Mardee Miller, two daughters who died at birth, a sister Yvonne Nelson, and two brothers Calvin and Vernon Forsgren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home's new location, 1005 South 800 East, in Preston, Idaho. A viewing will be held from 12-12:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the the Riverdale Cemetery. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.webbmortuary.com
