Logan, Utah - - - Marilyn Joan Nash
Logan - Marilyn Joan (Jo) Follett Nash, 79, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2012 in Logan, Utah. She was born on May 19, 1933 in Logan, Utah, the daughter of Orion and Edna Cotter Follett. She married Mondell Franklin Nash on May 28, 1951 in Preston, Idaho.
She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved horses and was very proud to have been one of the attendants at the 1950 Preston Rodeo. While raising her family in Blackfoot, Idaho she owned and showed Arabian horses. She worked at the Idaho State Fair and Penneys for many years. She had a beautiful singing voice and was a talented artist. Jo enjoyed sewing and crafts of all types. After retiring with Mondell they lived in Yuma, Arizona during the winters and stayed in a cabin above Lava Hot Spring, Idaho in the summers. The cabin was the site of many family parties and snowmobile trips and they loved the peace and quiet. Jo and Mondell traveled extensively and made friends everywhere. Jo and Mondell moved to Franklin, Idaho during their later years.
Jo is survived by three sons, Tim (Pat) Nash of White Rock, NM; Terry Nash of Clarkston, WA; and Thom (Judy) Nash of Richland, WA; eight grandchildren, Terra (Doug) Berning, Tyler (Erika) Nash, Tim (Michele) Nash, Shaun Nash, Chelsey (Aaron) Hibbard, Christin (Paul) Aubin, Kayla (Rob) Hanson, and Brooke (Dan) Allen; seven great-grandchildren, Michelle Berning, Sarah Berning, Faith Nash, Leta Nash, Dorian Hibbard, Koehn Allen and Jessica Allen; and two sisters, Barbara Berger and Nita (Mike) Kohler. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Mondell Nash, in 2009 and her sister Sue Packer in 2012.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East in Preston, Idaho. A viewing will be held Saturday from 9-9:45 a.m. also at Webb Funeral Home. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.webbmortuary.com.
