Whitney, Idaho - - - Marian B. Hull
Whitney - Marian Bowden Hull, 86, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2010 at the Franklin County Nursing Home in Preston, Idaho. She was born April 19, 1924 in Ogden, Utah, the daughter of Thomas Richard and Mildred Pond Bowden. She graduated from Preston High School where she was student body secretary her senior year and played cello in the school orchestra. She also attended Brigham Young University. She married Robert McClellan Hull and their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.
Marian's life was spent in Whitney, Idaho. She and Robert had six children whom she loved dearly and was involved with them in their music, scouting, 4-H, and church activities. Marian worked for over thirty years as a teacher and leader in the Young Women's organization of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a Relief Society President and also did extraction work. She worked at First Security Bank for 21 years and enjoyed working with the public. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and the Preston Literary Club. Marian loved gardening and shared bouquets of roses from her garden with many people. She was known for her genuine kindness to others.
She is survived by five of her children, Robert McClellan (Susanne) Hull Jr., of Whitney, ID; Clixie (David) Keller, Highland, UT; Thomas Richard (Dick) Hull, of Whitney; Kathleen (Gary) Aller, of Wellsville, UT; Cordell Bowden (Cindy) Hull, of Whitney; 20 grandchildren, and 35 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, and daughter Sandra Lee Hull, her parents, her brother Barton, and sisters Etta Rosenlund, and Ollie Jean Stratton.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Whitney 1st Ward Chapel with Bishop Jeff Leonard conducting. A viewing will be held Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home's new location 1005 South 800 East in Preston, and Wednesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church.
