PRESTON, IDAHO - - MARGIE HOGGAN JENSEN

PRESTON- Margie May Mackey Hoggan Jensen, 74, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009, at her home in Preston. She was born Oct. 15, 1935, in Burley, Idaho, the daughter of Burton R. and Erma Dayley Mackey. She married James C. Hoggan on Aug. 4, 1953, in the Idaho Falls Temple. He preceded her in death on Oct. 9, 2001. She married Floyd J. Jensen on April 26, 2008, in Preston, Idaho.

She was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints having served in many church callings. She especially enjoyed family history and served in the Logan and Provo Utah Temples. She served a mission to Japan with her husband, James, from 1998-99.

She worked as a secretary at the Oakwood Elementary School in Preston for 30 years. She was an excellent seamstress and cook. She was a kind and caring person, always concerned more about others. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband, Floyd Jensen, of Preston; one son and three daughters, James Reed (Vickie) Hoggan of Norman, Oklahoma; Kathleen (Craig) Larsen of Payson, Utah; Merianne (Gary) Lawlor of Orem, Utah; Kay (Kent) Williams of Rexburg, Idaho; seventeen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and by four sisters, Shirley (Donel) Martindale of Mesa, Arizona; Kerry Jean (Gary) Thompson of Highland, Utah; Nola (Steve) Hancey of Logan, Utah; and Linda Blake of Burley, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her husband, James, and by a granddaughter, Colleen Hoggan.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009, at 12:00 noon in the Preston Tenth Ward Chapel, 155 N. 2nd W., Preston, with President Douglas Roper conducting. Friends may call Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home's new facility, 1005 S. 800 E., Preston, Idaho, and Thursday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the church.
