Preston, Idaho Margaret S. KaiserPreston - Margaret May Shafer Kaiser, 85, passed away on Friday, December 14, 2007 in Preston, Idaho at the Franklin County Transitional Care Center. She was born May 19, 1922 in Los Animos, Colorado to Homer Lee and Ines Dawson Shafer. She married Elmer ‘Al' Collier Kaiser on August 10, 1947 in Willington, California. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple. Margaret loved flying and obtained her pilots license at a young age. She was a savvy business woman and owned her own dress boutique in California. She was a licensed beautician, and loved volunteering in many capacities. She and Al were both recognized for their volunteer work with the school reading program and also for their work involving the meals on wheels program. She was a member of the LDS Church and served in various callings including the Secretary of the Relief Society. She is survived by her two sons, Michael (Kim) Kaiser, of Caldwell, ID; Jeff (Connie) Kaiser, Monument, CO; five grandchildren, Cassandra, Talia, Jacob, Olivia, and Max, a sister Helen Smith, of Livermore, CA; and her "Almost Daughter" Vicki Peacock, Litchfield Park, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Al, a sister, and two brothers.Funeral services will be held Monday, December 17, 2007 at 12:00 noon in the Preston 10th Ward Chapel, 155 North 200 West in Preston, with President Doug Roper Conducting. Friends may call Monday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Webb Funeral Home in Preston.
