On April 23,2014 Lynn H Perry passed away at his home in Post Falls, ID
He is survived by his twin brother Glenn, by his four children: Margo, David,
Pamela, and Dennis. Along with 13 grand kids and 24 great grand kids.
February 26, 1927 Lynn and his twin brother Glenn were born to Ralph and Ruth Perry.
Lynn and his brother were the seventh and eighth children of the family.
May 1945 he graduated from Preston High School. Before that he enrolled in the
US Navy Reserves. He entered the Navy as a first class seaman in June 1945 and
went to school to be a radio technician. Germany and Japan surrendered, so he
chose to go on for further assignments. He was discharged July 1946.
Lynn majored in accounting and business administration for a year at BYU, then
went on his 2 year LDS mission in California. On his mission he met Dorothy and
married her on July 8, 1949 after his release.
His first 3 children were born in Idaho. He got a job as a book keeper in
California, and moved to Palmdale, and about a year after his youngest child was
born.
He then started a job in LA as a cost accountant for an architectural firm, and
moved to Granada Hills. He furthered his education taking night classes, which
led him to his next job as a Controller for an airplane manufacturing firm. The
last position he had was a Controller and Vice President of a Structural
Engineering Company.
He bought his final home in Post Falls Idaho due to his wife's health. After her
stroke around 1988 he kept true to his wedding vows, "In sickness and in health,
till death do us part" he took care of her in their home until her passing
in1996.
After her passing, he did a lot of traveling, in the country as well as South
America and Canada.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East, Preston, Idaho. Friends may call Saturday from 9-9:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Military rites and interment will be in the Preston Cemetery. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.webbmortuary.com
