Lynn “Conrad” Naegle, 62, of Cornish, Utah, returned to his heavenly family on the evening of December 11, 2022. He was born December 18, 1959, to Conrad Reese and Erma Jean Dorius Naegle in Hailey, Idaho.
Conrad embodied hard work, service, and sacrifice throughout his life. He learned the importance of hard work early while growing up on the family’s dairy farm. He honed his ability to serve through a 2-year LDS mission to the people of Guayaquil, Ecuador; whom he loved. He demonstrated sacrifice for his family by commuting 3 hours daily to Clearfield, Utah, where he had a distinguished 30-year career as a civilian employee with the United States Air Force, so his children could grow up in his beloved Cornish, Utah. He would continue serving and loving his family, community, and church as a bishop, high councilman, young men’s president, home teacher, town councilman, missionary to the Bishop’s Storehouse, and in many other capacities. He was kind, selfless, and courageous to the very end of his mortal life.
Conrad attended Southern Utah State College where he met his sweetheart, Lorie, graduated Summa Cum Laude in Business Administration and Language (Spanish), and started his family. He would later earn a master’s degree from Utah State University in Business Information Systems and Education. He was a lifelong learner and instilled the importance of learning in his children.
He loved basketball and played it often with friends and competitively at the Huntsman Senior Games where he won multiple medals. Conrad was also an enthusiast of self-sufficiency, tactical training, gardening, and emergency preparedness. He will be missed for his calm demeanor, sense of humor, and Christlike compassion.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 41 years, Lorie Anne Pickens Naegle, his 4 children, Amber (DeDan) Lewis, Erica Naegle, Lindsey (Brian) Nielson, Derek Naegle, and 3 grandsons, Jesse, Crew, and Beckett. He is also survived by his mother, Erma Jean Dorius Naegle, 6 siblings, Floyd (Dina), Phillip (Valene), Kelly (Sandy), Steven (Jerilyn), Laura (Brandon) Roberts, and Paul (Andrea), all of Cache Valley. He is preceded in death by his father, Conrad “Reese” Naegle.
