Lynda Sorensen

FAIRVIEW, IDAHO- Lynda Sharp Sorensen, 62, returned to her Father in Heaven on Aug. 13, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family and friends.  She was born July 8, 1953 in Preston, Idaho to Mervin Clarence and Mary Nichols Sharp.  From the time she was born she had a determined, courageous spirit and a strong faith.

She served faithfully in any different callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She loved serving her Father in Heaven.  She married her sweetheart Marvin O. Sorensen on January 27, 1978 in the Ogden Temple. 

She leaves her loving husband, Marv; a daughter and three sons; Taresa (Adam) Johnson of Lewiston, Utah; Tyler (Tara) Sorensen of Preston; Randall (Becky) Sorensen of Preston; Scot (Nikitta) Sorensen of Preston; her grandchildren, Heather, Jamie, Paige, Jordon, Colin, Emily, Lyndee, Audrey, Jace , Tate; five sisters and two brothers, Alene (David) Parrish of Preston; Gayle (Richard) Thompson of Clarkston, Utah; Marie (Jerry) Larsen of Preston; Kevin (Mary Sue) Sharp of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Brenda (Alan) Freestone of Monticello, Utah; Wayne (Stacey) Sharp of Clinton, Utah; Karla (Craig) Dutson of Oak City, Utah; her mother-in-law, Fontella O. Sorensen of Preston and many nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents, by her father-in-law, Woodrow W Sorensen and by many other loved ones and special friends.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Ali Ben Jacob and his nurses and to Franklin County Home Health & Hospice for their loving care. 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Fairview Second Ward Chapel with Bishop Jon Griffeth conducting.  Friends may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 South 800 East, Preston and Tuesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church.  Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.  Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.webbmortuary .com
